Born in 1977 in Vila Nova de Gaia.

He works with Visões Úteis since 1999, having assumed a progressive involvement in several creative processes, namely in the area of Performance in Landscape and audiowalks, sharing the diection of this kind of projects since 2014 and the Artistic Direction of the company between 2017 and 2021, with Ana Vitorino and Carlos Costa. In Visões Úteis, he is Technical Director and works as a musician, sound designer, playwright and performer.

He initiated his Music studies in 1990, at the Music Conservatory of Aveiro, From 1998 on, he dedicated himself to experimentation and improvisation, initiating a regular activity as a composer, interpreter, improvisor and instrument maker.

In his carrier as a musician, both as a solo artist and with different groups, he took part in inumerous concerts, performances and recordings, in Portugal and abroad. He collaborated with some of the most relevant creators, national and international, in the area of experimentation and improvisation.

In 2009 he concluded the Course of Musical Animators by the Education Service of Casa da Música, in Porto, and he has been developing workshops and community art projects, specially through the activity of the Space Ensemble collective.

Currently he teaches Technical Drawing and Computer Assisted Design at ESMAE – Escola Superior de Músca e Artes do Espetáculo and Academia Contemporânea do Espetáculo, both in Porto.

He studied Architecture in the University of Porto and graduated in Artistic Studies (Minor in Arts and Heritage) by the Open Uiversity.
